Tehran — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran unequivocally condemns the barbaric and unlawful military aggression carried out by the United States against Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
This unprecedented and flagrant act constitutes a grave violation of the core principles of the United Nations Charter, international law, and all recognized norms governing peaceful relations among states. The U.S. government — driven by belligerence and contempt for legality — bears full and undeniable responsibility for the severe consequences of this egregious crime.
The coordinated assault, perpetrated in criminal collaboration with the Zionist regime, blatantly infringes upon the sovereignty and territorial integrity of a sovereign member state of the United Nations. It further reveals the depths of hostility and animosity harbored by the ruling elite in Washington toward the peace-seeking, independent people of Iran.
The Islamic Republic of Iran reaffirms its inherent and legitimate right to respond to this aggression and defend its national sovereignty and security by all available means.
This American act of war — committed on the tenth day of Israeli military attacks on Iran — exposes the direct complicity and shared criminal objectives of Washington and Tel Aviv in orchestrating military aggression against the Islamic Republic.
The strike represents not only a direct violation of Article 2(4) of the UN Charter, which prohibits the threat or use of force, but also a violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2231, and a dangerous blow to the global nuclear non-proliferation regime — ironically committed by a permanent member of the Security Council.
The Islamic Republic of Iran calls upon:
- The United Nations,
- The UN Security Council,
- The Secretary-General,
- The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA),
- And all other responsible international bodies
to take immediate and resolute action against this flagrant and criminal breach of international norms. Inaction in the face of such lawlessness would endanger global peace and security.
Iran also calls on the IAEA Board of Governors to convene an urgent special session to address the unprecedented attack on nuclear facilities under full IAEA safeguards, and to hold to account those who enabled or justified this aggression, including the Director General himself, whose biased actions contributed to this dangerous escalation.
Let the world remember: it is the United States — not Iran — that has betrayed diplomacy, fueled unlawful warfare, and launched an unjustifiable and dangerous war in support of a regime of occupation and apartheid.
The world now sees clearly: a permanent Security Council member is acting with impunity, outside all rules, ethical standards, and international obligations — serving only the interests of a rogue, genocidal entity.
