UNRWA thanks Saudi Arabia for its continued & additional support of $ 2 mln to Palestinians

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in Lebanon (UNRWA) thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its additional financial contribution to Palestine refugees.

  • $ 2 mln support!

In a statement, UNRWA said that Saudi Arabia had donated an additional $ 2 million to support Palestine refugees in its five areas of operations in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

UNRWA indicated that the Kingdom’s additional contribution would be allocated to the Agency’s core services, including education, health, relief and social services.

The UNRWA Commissioner-General Pierre Krineball thanked the kingdom and its people for the additional support provided to UNRWA at this time, stressing that the Kingdom’s long-term partnership with UNRWA to support Palestine refugees was something UNRWA could rely on.
