Kingdom of the Two Holy Mosques hails Australia’s revocation of its recognition of West Jerusalem as a capital of Israel

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s welcome to the Australian government’s announcement to cancel its recognition of West Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
The ministry expressed the Kingdom’s aspiration for the international community to join efforts to find a just settlement of the Palestinian issue. In order to achieve the aspirations of the brotherly Palestinian people to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the Kingdom’s firm position towards the brotherly Palestinian people and its permanent support for its options.
