Attended by undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, Germany celebrates its 80th anniversary of El-Alamein Battle

Annually, representatives from Germany, Egypt, Britain, Italy, Greece and other countries commemorate the Battle of El Alamein that took place during World War II, in order to memorialize the lives of the many victims who fell in this battle, whose 80th anniversary falls this year. It is worth mentioning that Germany is the host and organizer of this year’s celebrations, which will take place on Saturday, 22 October, from ten to eleven forty minutes in the morning, in the German Memorial Square in El Alamein.

On this occasion, Frank Hartmann, German Ambassador in Cairo, stressed that commemorating this past is at the same time a reminder for us to assume our responsibility today to maintain a stable international order in which peace and peace, and the need to oppose wars.

Among the guests participating in these celebrations are the German Undersecretary of Defense for Parliamentary Affairs Thomas Hechler as deputy for the German Federal Minister of Defense, Senior Adviser to the British Ministry of Defense, Air Marshal Martin Simpson, and a group of senior officials from Egypt, Italy and Greece.
