She will be a keynote speaker at the Africa 2018 \u2013 Business for Africa Forum and the Intra-African Trade Fair during her stay.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv3014802916MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The UK is committed to supporting entrepreneurship in Egypt, including through a 47m EGP programme to support social enterprise, and Emma Wade-Smith was a keynote speaker at Flat6Labs Demo Day in Cairo, where she highlighted the importance of small businesses in creating economic opportunities and jobs.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aldiplomasy.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Emma-Wade-Smith-1-e1544617052208.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-15295 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aldiplomasy.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Emma-Wade-Smith-1-1024x520.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"618\" height=\"314\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv3014802916MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">During her visit, she met with<span dir=\"RTL\">\u00a0<\/span>His Excellency Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El-Molla, to discuss current petrochemical &amp; refinery projects with the use of the UK export finance funding.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv3014802916MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Emma Wade-Smith, Her Majesty\u2019s Trade Commissioner for Africa said: \u2018The UK is proud to be working with Egypt and across Africa to invest in strategic, job-creating sectors that will let economies thrive. Investing in young people and enterprise is at the heart of this, and we\u2019ve seen in Egypt how bringing together UK expertise and Egyptian talent has yielded fantastic results.
