The foundation stone for the new facility was laid during an official ceremony held on Saturday, July 6, 2025.<\/p>\n

The event was attended by Egypt\u2019s Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Hassan El-Khatib<\/em>, Chairman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones Hossam Heiba<\/em>, Turkish Ambassador to Cairo Salih Mutlu \u015een<\/em>, and KCG\u2019s founder Y\u0131lmaz K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck\u00e7al\u0131k<\/em>, along with senior company officials.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Reinforcing Turkish Industrial Presence in Egypt<\/h3>\n

This expansion comes as part of KCG\u2019s broader investment strategy in Egypt, where it has been operating since 2007 with a cumulative investment of $65 million. The new facility is expected to raise the company\u2019s annual exports from Egypt to approximately $100 million<\/strong>, supplying renowned global brands and key markets in the apparel sector.<\/p>\n

Operations at the new plant are scheduled to begin in October<\/strong>, adding 500 new jobs<\/strong> to the company\u2019s existing workforce of 1,800 Egyptians, reaching a total of 2,300 local employees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Officials Highlight Strategic Economic Partnership<\/h3>\n

During his speech at the ceremony, Turkish Ambassador Salih Mutlu \u015een<\/em> welcomed the expansion of Turkish investments in Egypt, stating that Egypt is a \u201cnatural and strategic destination\u201d for Turkish investors due to the strong cultural, geographic, and logistical links between the two countries.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Free Trade Agreements, robust transportation networks, and the positive climate toward Turkish investors all point to a bright future,\u201d \u015een said. \u201cEconomic cooperation is a top priority for Turkey\u2019s engagement with Egypt, and I firmly believe that Turkey will remain among Egypt\u2019s top three foreign trade partners.\u201d<\/p>\n

Minister Hassan El-Khatib<\/em> echoed this sentiment, praising Turkish companies for their speed and efficiency in executing projects<\/strong>, and affirming Egypt\u2019s commitment to welcoming quality investment that boosts employment and export capacity.<\/p>\n

KCG is a prominent Turkish textile group specializing in a wide range of home and garment textile products, including window drapes, bed linens, decorative cushions, tablecloths, upholstery fabrics, and bath curtains.
