At the 16th BRICS Summit, Chinese President Xi Jinping<\/strong> affirmed that China stands ready to be Egypt\u2019s faithful friend of mutual respect<\/strong> and trusted partner in shared development<\/strong>, celebrating a decade of comprehensive strategic partnership between the two ancient civilizations.<\/p>\n

Welcoming Egypt\u2019s participation in the BRICS Summit as a full member for the first time, President Xi congratulated President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi<\/strong>, noting that this year marks both the China-Egypt Partnership Year<\/strong> and the 10th anniversary<\/strong> of their comprehensive strategic partnership<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Xi reiterated China\u2019s firm support for Egypt\u2019s sovereignty, security, and developmental interests<\/strong>, emphasizing the need for both nations to reinforce mutual political trust<\/strong>, deepen pragmatic cooperation<\/strong>, and jointly advance high-quality Belt and Road projects<\/strong>. He also called for closer cultural and people-to-people exchanges<\/strong>, steering bilateral relations toward the shared goal of building a China\u2013Egypt community with a shared future in the new era<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

China, he said, is also eager to strengthen coordination with Egypt<\/strong> to promote the steady, long-term development of BRICS cooperation<\/strong>, amplify the voice of the Global South<\/strong>, and safeguard the common interests<\/strong> of developing nations.<\/p>\n

President El-Sisi congratulated China on the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People\u2019s Republic<\/strong>, praising the fruitful results achieved since the establishment of the strategic partnership a decade ago. Describing China as Egypt\u2019s and Africa\u2019s most sincere friend<\/strong>, he expressed deep gratitude for Beijing\u2019s valuable assistance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Reaffirming Egypt\u2019s commitment to the One-China principle<\/strong>, El-Sisi stressed Egypt\u2019s full understanding of the paramount importance of the Taiwan issue<\/strong> for China. He pledged to align Egypt\u2019s development strategy with the Belt and Road Initiative<\/strong>, expand practical cooperation<\/strong>, and strengthen multilateral coordination<\/strong> with China to uphold the collective interests of the Global South<\/strong> and promote a fairer, more equitable global governance system<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
