No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A number of foreign states have issued statements via foreign ministries or diplomatic missions condemning the attacks, among them Germany, the UK, Kuwait, and the UAE.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Arab states also condemned the attack with Kuwait, UAE and Tunisia expressing their support for Egypt\u2019s war on terrorism.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Security forces have been battling an Islamist insurgency for several years in North Sinai; militants have killed hundreds of security personnel.
