08 April 2020 – The British Ambassador to Egypt, Sir Geoffrey Adams, has expressed his gratitude to the Presidency for the thoughtful message that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi sent to the British Prime Minister, the Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP, wishing him a speedy recovery.
Meanwhile, the UK Foreign Secretary, the Rt Hon Dominic Raab MP, has extended his gratitude to the Egyptian Government for the flexibility and efficiency they have shown in helping to return over 13,000 British tourists over the last two weeks.
In a letter addressed to Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, the UK Foreign Secretary said that the excellent cooperation between both countries during the past weeks was an illustration of the kind of partnership agreed between President Sisi and Prime Minister Johnson when they met in London in January 2020.
