After passing the tourist guidance course, director of the National Authority for Tourism and National Heritage in Al-Ahsa Khalid bin Ahmed Al-Faridah, Zainab Ali Al-Haddad, handed over the license of the first female tourist guide in Al-Ahsa.
Al-Faridah expressed his congratulations to Al-Haddad and its initiative in the field of tourism guidance, stressing the importance of ensuring accurate information for tourists on historical sites and benefiting from the experiences of other guides and tour operators.
“The General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage seeks to qualify those wishing to work in tourism guidance, through training courses and forums on the profession of tour guide in various regions of the Kingdom, stressing the importance of the role of tour guide in introducing tourists to the most important tourist destinations and culture.”, added Al-Faridah.
For its part, Al Haddad expressed her pleasure in obtaining the first tourist guide license in Al-Ahsa Oasis, the fifth Saudi site on the UNESCO World Heritage List and the Arab Tourism Capital 2019.
