Ambassador of KSA follows up the entry of relief aid to Gaza

Today, in coordination with the relevant Egyptian authorities, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Osama bin Ahmed Nuqli, followed up on the progress of the entry of aid provided by the Popular Campaign for the Relief of the Palestinian People through the Rafah crossing, in preparation for transferring it to those affected within the Gaza Strip.

The ambassador explained in a statement, in front of the Rafah crossing, that, thanks to God Almighty, the seventh plane from the Saudi air bridge arrived today at Al-Arish Airport, which came in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect them – launched the popular campaign for relief for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, which was inaugurated by the honorable leadership with a generous donation of 50 million Saudi riyals.

He pointed out that the Saudi people’s support for this humanitarian campaign is not surprising, as the volume of donations to the campaign amounted to about half a billion Saudi riyals and is still increasing, thanks to God Almighty, stressing that the Kingdom stands by the Palestinian brothers throughout history, and that it is not only political but also humanitarian in A way to alleviate the suffering of the occupation over these years.

Ambassador Naqli added, saying: Today, I followed the relief aid from Al-Arish Airport until it reached the warehouses and moved to the Rafah crossing, in coordination and cooperation with the brothers in Egypt through the Egyptian Red Crescent, expressing his thanks to the Arab Republic of Egypt for the good organization of receiving and storing the aid, all the way to transporting it by truck to the crossing.

He pointed out that the volume of relief aid provided by the Kingdom reached approximately 250 tons, and is expected to double in the coming days by shipping it by sea, stressing the Kingdom’s keenness to ensure that relief aid reaches those affected inside the Gaza Strip, and to continue monitoring the humanitarian situation of the brothers in the Gaza Strip.
