Saudi Arabia chairs the Standing Committee of the Cybersecurity meeting of the Cooperation  Council for the Arab Gulf States

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the National Commission for cyber-security chaired the agenda for the sixth session of the Standing Committee of the Cybersecurity Cooperation Council (GCC), which was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council in Riyadh.

The meeting addressed a number of topics, including basic controls pilot in cyber security, and functions of the mechanism of action of the Standing Committee of cyber-security, and a host of other topics on the agenda of the Standing Committee’s work of cyber-security in the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The meeting of the Committee in its role as president to strengthen cooperation to achieve a secure cyber community in the GCC countries offers the best services in the area amid cyber risks to countries around the world, in addition to the application of best practices and ways to protect and manage the challenges in the field.

The National Authority for Cyber Security is the competent authority of cybersecurity in the Kingdom, the national reference in its affairs, and aims to strengthen the protection of vital interests of the state and national security, and the representation of the Kingdom in the organizations and bodies and committees of bilateral, regional and international relevant groups, and follow up on the implementation of the Kingdom’s international special obligations cybersecurity.
