The Malaysian Trade Attaché Raphy MD Radzi stated that the Commercial Section of the Malaysian Embassy in Cairo, MATRADE, will organize a forum to stimulate trade between Egypt and Malaysia on Sunday, May 12, at the St. Regis Hotel in Cairo. Ten Malaysian companies will participate in the forum, headed by Dato’ Seri Reezal Merican bin Naina Merican, Chairman of MATRADE.
The main objectives of this program are to support Malaysia’s trade and investment relations with Egypt as well as strengthen Malaysia’s presence in the Egyptian market through strategic partnership with Egyptian companies and establishing joint investment projects.
As Malaysia’s third largest trading partner and the third largest export destination in the African region in 2023, Egypt offers huge opportunities for Malaysian companies, especially in its comprehensive new mega projects such as the Suez Canal Zone development projects and the New Administrative Capital. Therefore, it is time for Malaysian companies to visit Egypt again to reconsider and explore the potential and opportunities that Egypt offers after the last visit in 2019.
