KSRC: Saudi Arabia enable the most fragile health systems globally to immunize their populations to become a center for vaccine production

His Excellency the Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the King Salman Center (KSRC) for Relief and Humanitarian Action, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the leading countries in the global efforts to ensure equal access to vaccines worldwide, indicating that the Kingdom has provided strong support to the global alliance for vaccines and immunization, Gavi, the COVAX facility, and other coalition initiatives; To enable the most vulnerable health systems in the world to immunize their populations, including the OIC countries.

This came during His Excellency’s participation yesterday in a high-level session entitled “Raising the Level of the Next Generation of Immunity”, as part of the work of the “World Vaccine Conference… Raising Generation Immunity” held in the Spanish capital, Madrid, from 13-15 June 2023, in the presence of an ambassador. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the Kingdom of Spain, Azzam bin Abdul Karim Al-Qain.

His Excellency indicated that the Kingdom has so far responded to the Corona pandemic with an amount of 863 million US dollars, and has also donated doses of vaccines and epidemic supplies to more than 41 countries, and will continue to provide support and assistance to many countries to ensure the sustainability of their health systems during any future health emergencies, including pandemics, expressing On the Kingdom’s aspiration for a future in which everyone in the world – especially children – enjoys equal access to vaccinations against dangerous diseases.

He added, “We believe that the regional production of vaccines will greatly improve the ability of all countries to access urgent supplies, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is investing to become a center for vaccine production, and the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action, as the humanitarian arm of the Kingdom, seeks to plan the establishment of a logistics center on the sea.” Red to allow quick and easy access to vaccines and other humanitarian aid in times of need.
