The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority, Mr. Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al-Sheikh, launched the activities of the Riyadh season 2022 in the “Riyadh Vibes” area, with an international carnival that witnessed the first show in the Middle East of more than 3,200 drones, an international concert, and multiple colors of fireworks, Which lit the sky of the capital, Riyadh, at the opening of the entertainment event, which led the global trend on the social networking platform “Twitter”.
In his speech, His Excellency said: “I extend my sincere thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Highness, the Crown Prince, the godfather of the vision and our inspiring leader, for the attention, planning and support that the entertainment sector in general and the Riyadh season in particular enjoy, and in the end, I announced the opening of the Riyadh season in Its third edition “Beyond Imagination”, Welcome to Riyadh Season.
After that, the season’s ceremony began, in which the Al-Sheikh family received the torch of the Saudi Games, a singing compass from the Saudi folklore, in addition to a number of itinerant performances, and the Cirque du Soleil international show, in an atmosphere of fun and enthusiasm for the activities of the season, which witnessed the attendance of large audiences. It is the largest entertainment event of its kind in the Kingdom.
The Riyadh Season 2022 party included an artistic show for the fifteen regions of the season, as well as performances that pave the way for the opening of the entertainment areas, the sum of which represents the activities of this year’s season.
The ceremony featured a number of kinetic games, a group of gymnastics, high wire shows, motorcycles, fire-jetting, swinging columns, Pankin show, in addition to jumping through the rings, and a display of international orchestral music.
The activities of the Riyadh season this year include new spaces and areas, immersing visitors with its modern activities and experiences, as it combines with its various options a mixture of exclusivity and modernity, amid an abundance of entertainment that made Riyadh a favorite destination, and a stimulating space for the residents of the Kingdom and its visitors from all over the world.
It is noteworthy that the season areas include various activities and events, such as concerts, local and international exhibitions, theatrical performances, WWE Championships, and football tournaments, in addition to a group of interactive experiences from various global cultures, a number of restaurants and cafes, as well as adventures of submarine riding and flying. By cable car, living in the ice, and a number of recreational activities compatible with all age groups for visitors to the Riyadh season 2022.
