His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in a discussion session entitled: “Towards stability and peace in the Middle East: The challenge of de-escalation,” on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference 2024.

During the session, His Highness stressed the importance of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, noting that the priority must also be to end the humanitarian catastrophe occurring in the Strip.

He called for focusing on the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces from Gaza, and increasing the access of humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza.

His Highness stressed that the path towards security and stability for all in the region, including Israel, is through the establishment of a Palestinian state, calling on the international community to focus on that.

He explained that the Kingdom’s talks with the United States of America focused on many points in the Palestinian issue, and stressed that the urgent priority is to address the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, and the need to find a way to end the fighting there, while finding a way to ensure the arrival of humanitarian aid to the Strip.

His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs also stressed that the provocations carried out by the Israeli occupation forces inevitably inflame the feelings of the Arab and Islamic nations, especially with the death toll approaching 30,000 civilians and 17,000 orphans, and the continued enormous human suffering in the Gaza Strip, including food shortages, water shortages, and… Medicine, and that these Israeli provocations may serve the ideologies of terrorism and extremism around the world.
