Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman, will pay an official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt next Sunday.

This came in a statement issued by the Diwan of the Royal Court today, the text of which follows

As an extension of the historical relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the brotherly Arab Republic of Egypt, and an affirmation of the keenness of the leaderships of the two countries to strengthen those solid ties between them, and in response to the kind invitation addressed to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al-Muazzam, may God protect him and take care of him from his brother, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Republic of Egypt God willing, and His Majesty the Sultan of the country will pay an official visit to the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt for a period of two days, starting from Sunday, corresponding to the twenty-first of May 2023 AD.

With God Almighty’s help and success, during His Majesty’s visit to the Republic, all aspects of cooperation that would elevate bilateral relations to levels that meet the desired goals in all fields will be discussed. To reach results that serve the common interests of the two countries. During the visit, consultation and coordination will take place between the two leaderships, which contributes to strengthening joint Arab action and discussing various developments on the regional and international arenas.

His Majesty the Sultan is accompanied during his visit by a high-ranking official delegation that includes:

His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs, His Excellency Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of the Royal Court, His Excellency Lieutenant General Sultan bin Muhammad Al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office, His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Sultan bin Salem Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, and His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Saeed Al-Aufi, Head of the Private Office, His Excellency Abdul Salam bin Muhammad Al-Murshidi, Chairman of the Omani Investment Authority, His Excellency Qais bin Muhammad Al-Youssef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, and His Excellency Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Arab Republic of Egypt and its permanent representative to the League of Arab States.
