The chairman of the Human Rights Commission, Dr. Awad bin Saleh Al-Awwad presided over a meeting of through virtual network.
During the commission’s session, the authority’s council praised the Kingdom’s efforts in the field of protecting and promoting human rights, where the council affirmed that behind these developments a strong political will contributed to the transition from the area of obligations to the field of practices in the field of protection and promotion of rights led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Highness his faithful Crown Prince – May God protect them.
The Council affirmed that the Kingdom’s regulations guarantee all legitimate freedoms for both Saudis and non-Saudis, including religious freedom and that people of different religions can freely practice their religions in their places of residence.
The commission discussed a number of issues on its agenda, including the Authority’s annual report for the year 1440-1441 AH.
