The Omani Foreign Ministry issued a statement welcoming the positive results reached by the Yemeni parties in the consultations held in Sweden under the auspices of the United Nations and with the support of the international community.
The Sultanate expresses its gratitude to the Kingdom of Sweden for hosting the Yemeni consultations and thanks the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, and its Special Envoy for Yemen, Martin Gerevith, and the UN team for their efforts in holding these consultations and appreciates the cooperation and positive spirit of the two parties.
The Sultanate also affirms that in compliance with the directives of Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman, it continues to support the efforts of the United Nations and the international community to assist the Yemeni parties to reach a political solution to achieve security and stability for Yemen and the brotherly Yemeni people.
