Bajel Projects Limited, a leading power transmission EPC company under the Bajaj Group, officially signed an agreement exceeding $40 million with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) today in Cairo. The contract covers the construction of two contiguous sections (Lot 1 and Lot 5) of a 500 kV Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL).
Welcoming the agreement, Indian Ambassador to Egypt, H.E. Sanjeev Reddy, highlighted that Bajel Projects carries the legacy of the $40 billion Bajaj Group and a proven track record in executing large-scale infrastructure. He noted that the contract demonstrates Egypt’s continued trust in Indian engineering excellence, products, and services.
The historic agreement was signed by Mr. Rajesh Ganesh, Managing Director & CEO of Bajel Projects Limited, and Eng. Mona Rezk, Chairman of the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC).
This ultra-mega project forms a critical component of Egypt’s flagship national grid reinforcement program. By strengthening the high-voltage transmission backbone, the project will ensure reliable power evacuation to support the country’s rapid economic and industrial expansion.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Rajesh Ganesh remarked:

The deal solidifies Bajel Projects’ position as a trusted global EPC partner in high-voltage infrastructure. It complements the company’s expanding presence across the Middle East and North Africa, which includes a 50:50 joint venture with the Al Sharif Group in Saudi Arabia and the recent launch of its subsidiary, Bajel T & D Projects and Contracting, in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
