New York – Foreign Ministers of Egypt and Azerbaijan review bilateral cooperation files and how to develop them

On the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly on September 23, 2022, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jehun Bayramov.

Abu Zeid explained that Minister Shoukry congratulated his counterpart on the success of Azerbaijan’s presidency of the Non-Aligned Movement, which was characterized by activity and movement through a number of initiatives to revive the movement and frameworks of cooperation between its countries, which was appreciated by the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, who was keen to review The position of tensions between his country and Armenia. The Egyptian Foreign Minister stressed the importance of achieving stability and preventing the situation from deteriorating, recalling Egypt’s firm position calling for resolving disputes through diplomatic means, and the need to reach a comprehensive and sustainable settlement through diplomatic means.
