Dr. Nabil Helmy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Heliopolis Association, announces in an international press conference the opening and launching of the activities of the “Science Center” for children, the first scientific center in the Middle East that is environmentally friendly and able to make a difference, at five o’clock tomorrow evening, Thursday, at the headquarters of the Child Center for Civilization and Creativity ( The Child Museum), at 34 Abu Bakr Al Siddik Street, Heliopolis.

Dr. Nabil Helmy, President of the Heliopolis Association, said that the “Science Center” is a new platform for knowledge that is environmentally friendly and able to be launched by the Heliopolis Association, based on the belief that the safety of individuals is not achieved through the efforts of the government only, but also for everyone who lives in the environment because teamwork and environmental awareness are among the foundations Upgrading any society towards a sustainable environmental development and renaissance free of pollution and damage.

Helmy indicated that the Science Center was established with the full support of the Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development, based on the frameworks of understanding between the Heliopolis Association and the Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development, praising the efforts of Dr. To develop societal thought and promote all social groups, especially young people and children.

Dr Helmy said that Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education, Dr. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture, Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Library of Alexandria, Dr. Mostafa Elfeki, former Director of the Library of Alexandria, Dr. Mohamed El-Etreby, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banque Misr, and Dr. Ali Al-Saidi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Banque Misr Foundation, Engineer Mohamed Abu El-Enein, businessman, Hajar Mokhtar, Miss Environment, in addition to some foreign cultural centers in Cairo and members of the Board of Directors of the Heliopolis Association.

Dr. Osama Abdel-Warth, Director of the Child Center for Civilization and Creativity (Child Museum) explained that the science center comes from the educational role of civil society institutions in advancing development. The middle is dedicated to children attached to the Children’s Museum, pointing out that at the Science Center, the visitor embarks on an exciting fantasy journey (from Cairo to Mars to search for new life and back to Cairo to make Cairo a green heart that protects us all and our planet.

He pointed out that the science center is divided into an external display, which is the solar system and a unit for producing electricity from solar energy, and 5 halls that accompany us to an imaginary journey to Mars with a detailed explanation that includes the history of space exploration and the similator, what can be explored on Mars, learn about the rover and its components, colony building and research.
