His Majesty the Sultan and his brother, His Excellency the Egyptian President, may God protect them, exchanged medals at the Ittihadi Palace in Cairo on the occasion of His Majesty’s visit to the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, where His Excellency the Egyptian President granted His Majesty the Great Sultan the Order of the Nile Necklace. It is the highest Egyptian decoration in appreciation from His Excellency the President to His Majesty the Sultan and an expression of the depth of the historical relations between the two countries.
While His Majesty the Sultan awarded his brother, His Excellency the President (Oman’s First Medal); Appreciation from His Majesty the Sultan to his brother, His Excellency the Egyptian President, and pride in the brotherly ties between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.
