The Foreign Ministry spokesman added that Mr. Sameh Shoukry stressed during the meeting the importance of strengthening parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, including through the establishment of parliamentary friendship committees, expressing his aspiration to continue working to deepen the frameworks of bilateral cooperation in the priority sectors of the two countries in a way that serves the interests of both countries. He also pointed out the importance of pushing towards the implementation of cooperation proposals submitted by the two sides in many fields, the most important of which is establishing a diplomatic academy with Egyptian expertise, operating a direct airline, implementing projects in the field of agriculture in Equatorial Guinea by Egyptian companies, developing the tourism sector, and establishing an Egyptian clinic in Equatorial Guinea. As well as sending a technical delegation to Equatorial Guinea to discuss opportunities to benefit from exporting medicine and medical supplies from Egypt.

For her part, she expressed her great happiness at visiting Egypt, and her appreciation for the warm reception she received, praising the accumulated parliamentary experiences of the Egyptian Senate and her pride in cooperation in many regional and international parliamentary forums, noting the importance of exchanging bilateral visits to strengthen the frameworks of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries. The President of the Ecuatorian Senate added that there are many opportunities for cooperation between the two countries, stressing her country’s pride in the momentum reached by bilateral relations in various fields.
