Cairo – Sunday, May 11, 2025.. Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States (LAS), received today at the League’s headquarters Ms. Cao Shumin, Minister and President of China’s National Radio and Television Administration, and Deputy Head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China. She is visiting Egypt leading a high-level delegation.
Jamal Rushdi, the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General, stated that Mr. Aboul Gheit praised the longstanding historical ties between the Arab world and China, noting the significant progress witnessed since the establishment of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum in 2004, which now spans development, economic, political, and media sectors.
The meeting discussed ways to strengthen Arab-Chinese cooperation in the media field, particularly in joint radio and television production, as well as news coverage, contributing to deeper cultural understanding and the accurate representation of both sides.
