### About Indian Classical Dance:
Indian classical dance is more than a performance — it is a living tradition that blends movement, music, storytelling, and spirituality. With roots stretching back over two thousand years, it evolved from temple rituals and courtly entertainment to become one of India’s most celebrated forms of cultural expression.
The major schools of classical dance include:
* **Bharatanatyam**: One of the oldest and most refined styles, known for its precision and symbolism.
* **Kathak**: A vibrant narrative style emphasizing rhythm and drama.
* **Kathakali**: Known for elaborate costumes and expressive storytelling.
* **Odissi**: A lyrical and graceful form originating from eastern India’s temples.
The event is expected to draw a wide audience of art and culture enthusiasts, as well as members of the diplomatic, academic, and artistic communities.
