The Embassy of Pakistan in Egypt hosted a heartfelt reception to mark two historic milestones — the victory in Maarka-e-Haq and the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan — bringing together a large number of Pakistani community members residing in Egypt.
The event began with spirited performances by students of the Pakistan International School Cairo, who sang national songs with remarkable passion, capturing the celebratory spirit of both the recent triumph and the enduring pride of independence. Their moving presentation drew warm praise from attendees.
In his address, Ambassador Aamir Shouket paid glowing tribute to the exemplary courage of the Pakistan Armed Forces and the unwavering resolve of the entire nation during Maarka-e-Haq in May 2025. He also honored the unparalleled sacrifices of Pakistan’s founding generation, led by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, in securing freedom for the homeland.
“Freedom is a blessing,” Ambassador Shouket reminded the gathering. “Pakistan was established through the unparalleled sacrifices of our ancestors and as a reward from Almighty Allah. It is now our collective duty to use all our abilities for the nation’s development and prosperity.”
Reflecting on Operation Bunyan-al-Marsoos, he noted that Pakistan emerged from the events of May 2025 with enhanced stature as a responsible and dignified member of the international community.
The Ambassador expressed deep appreciation for the Pakistani community in Egypt, acknowledging their contributions to Egypt’s socio-economic life and to strengthening bilateral ties.
The ceremony concluded with collective prayers for the souls of the martyrs, the security and prosperity of Pakistan, and its continued progress. A cake-cutting ceremony added a joyful touch to the evening’s commemorations, celebrating both the victory in Maarka-e-Haq and the nation’s 79th Independence Day.
