In a gesture of enduring solidarity with the people of Palestine, the fifth consignment of Pakistan’s humanitarian aid for Gaza arrived today at Al-Arish International Airport in Egypt.
Coinciding with the visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to Sharm El-Sheikh for the Peace Summit, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) of Pakistan, in collaboration with the Pakistan Services Foundation, dispatched the latest shipment of relief assistance to support the brothers and sisters of Gaza.
A special chartered aircraft carrying 100 tons of humanitarian and relief supplies landed in Al-Arish this afternoon. The consignment was handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, which will deliver it across the border to the people of Gaza.
The aid shipment includes essential food items such as flour, rice, chickpeas, cooking oil, fruit juices, and sweet corn, symbolizing the nourishment of both body and spirit in a time of hardship.
Pakistan — its government and people alike — extends heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Egypt, under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and to the Egyptian Red Crescent, for their vital cooperation in facilitating the delivery of this humanitarian lifeline to the Palestinian people.
