Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen paid a visit to the 17th Turkish humanitarian aid ship, the first to arrive after the recent ceasefire, as it sailed across the Mediterranean Sea carrying 900 tonnes of relief supplies destined for the Palestinian people. He was accompanied by Ambassador Mehmet Güllüoğlu, Türkiye’s Coordinator for Humanitarian Assistance to Palestine. 
During the visit, Ambassador Şen expressed his deep affection for the beloved city of Arish, recalling with warmth his friends there, the Basata restaurant,
its pleasant atmosphere and delightful seafood, and the charming Tulip Café — all dear to his heart and symbols of the city’s hospitality.
The Ambassador also extended his sincere congratulations to Major General Mohamed on his promotion from Director General of Arish Port to Director General of the Ports Authority, and to Mr. Ihab on assuming his new responsibilities.
On this occasion, Ambassador Şen expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Major General Mohamed and his dedicated team for their unwavering support to Turkish vessels and humanitarian aid missions.
“We stand together — shoulder to shoulder — in this noble cause,” he affirmed.
