Poetry: Ashraf AboArafe
O Salih ŞEN, bearer of hearts so mild,
From Bosphorus to Nile, you’ve crossed each mile.
You came with banners of love unfurled,
And whispered “peace” unto the world.
You stretched your hand to the pyramids’ glow,
With eyes where golden sunbeams flow.
You woke the past, its songs retold,
Where Anatolia’s warmth meets Egypt’s gold.
In Cairo’s charm your smile was seen,
Restoring hope to what has been.
For in your soul, Turkey’s spirit beats,
And Egypt’s heart in greeting meets.
Not merely an envoy, in truth you stand,
A melody born of heart and hand.
You built new bridges, calm and high,
That touch the stars, that kiss the sky.
So go, son of the Bosphorus, true and kind,
With peace and faith your path aligned.
A tribute penned with love and zeal —
By Ashraf AboArafe, in truth and feel.
