The President of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi, has strongly condemned the dangerous decisions approved by the Israeli occupation’s mini-ministerial council targeting the occupied West Bank, warning that they seek to impose a new colonial fait accompli on Palestinian land.
Al Yamahi stressed that these decisions constitute a blatant and aggressive escalation, a flagrant violation of international law and international legitimacy resolutions, and an open attempt to alter the legal and historical status of the occupied Palestinian territories. Through settlement expansion, land seizure, and the imposition of sovereignty by force, the occupation is openly defying the will of the international community.
He underscored that the occupation has no sovereignty over any inch of Palestinian land, and that the Israeli government’s endorsement of land confiscation in the West Bank amounts to an explicit declaration of committing a fully constituted war crime—one that demands international accountability without double standards.
Al Yamahi called on states and international organizations—foremost among them the United Nations and the International Criminal Court—to shoulder their legal and moral responsibilities by rejecting and condemning these colonial decisions and by opening an urgent international criminal investigation into the occupation’s leaders involved in these crimes. He warned that their continuation undermines regional security and stability and extinguishes any remaining prospects for peace.
He reaffirmed that the Arab Parliament will continue its political and parliamentary action at both regional and international levels in defense of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and in firm rejection of all attempts to legitimize occupation or impose realities by force.
