A telephone call took place between Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Expatriates of Egypt, and Mr. Andrii Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The discussion focused on ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two friendly nations, alongside developments in regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister opened the call by congratulating his Ukrainian counterpart on his re-appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs by the Ukrainian Parliament. He expressed Egypt’s eagerness to further elevate bilateral cooperation and strengthen existing frameworks through continued political consultation rounds, joint committee meetings, and enhanced economic and trade cooperation.
The conversation also addressed the developments in the Ukrainian crisis. Minister Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s position supporting a political settlement to the conflict, emphasizing the critical need for de-escalation and diplomatic solutions to help end the war and bolster global security and stability.
