AMBASSADOR Salih Mutlu Şen, the Turkish Ambassador to Egypt, stated:
“On the occasion of the Day of Commemoration for the Victims of Genocide in Gaza, we met with our Palestinian brothers and sisters within the Arab community who have endured unimaginable suffering and lost beloved members of their families. Soon, we will host these victims and our oppressed brothers and sisters at our residence, extending our support to help meet some of their material needs.

Egypt is currently providing temporary shelter to approximately 150,000 residents from Gaza and has extended medical treatment to over 10,000 of them. Furthermore, to counter Israel’s policy of clearing Gaza of its Palestinian population, Egypt facilitates the return of a number of Gazans equivalent to the number of patients arriving for care.

Despite Israel’s attempts to obstruct their journey home, tens of thousands of Gazans currently in Egypt refuse to be severed from their homeland and have registered their names, steadfast in their resolve to return.”
