15 Turkish companies participate in Cairo Fashion & Tex exhibition held Feb. 13/15 at CICC

The 76th edition of Cairo Fashion & Tex exhibition was held at the Cairo International Convention Center (CICC) from 13 to 15 February 2025.

‎The exhibition was attended by about 90 high-level companies in the textile and fashion sector, including 15 Turkish companies, as the show is another example of the importance that Egypt attaches to investment opportunities in the textile sector.‎

‎The exhibition, organized by Pyramids International Group, received great attention from the participants, and provided a great opportunity for companies to promote their products.‎

The exhibition was also attended by the Chairman of the Egyptian General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences, Minister Plenipotentiary Essam Ahmed El-Naggar, and the Secretary-General of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, Dr. Alaa Ezzat.‎

Ezzat indicated in his speech that an industrial zone will be established on an area of 5 million square meters in agreement with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges in Turkey.‎

‎In his statements on the sidelines of the opening of the exhibition, the Turkish Ambassador to Cairo, Salih Mutlu Şen, thanked the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pyramids International Group, Mohamed El-Sherif, for his role in organizing the exhibition, expressing his happiness to participate in the exhibition for the second year in a row.

Ambassador Shen also stressed that Turkish companies continue to show great interest in trade and investment in the textile sector in Egypt, and that each sector of textiles plays a leading role in developing trade and economic relations between Turkey and Egypt.

Ambassador Shen also visited the pavilions of the 15 Turkish companies participating in the exhibition from the textile, cotton, clothing and yarn sectors, and spoke with company officials separately and held discussions on opportunities to increase production capacity and new investment opportunities offered by Egypt.

Representatives of Turkish companies participating in the exhibition stressed that the Egyptian government’s contributions to providing an investment environment paved the way for new investments for them.

Ambassador Salih Mutlu Shen also met with officials from the Turkish Textile Machinery Association. The association officials spoke about their plans to communicate and cooperate with businessmen in Egypt with the aim of providing textile and clothing machines for textile investments that continue to grow in Egypt. Ambassador Shen said that the association will be in contact with the General Authority for Investment and the Ministry of Trade and Industry through all member machinery manufacturing companies.

Among the world markets for Turkish textile machinery, Egypt ranks third in terms of its growing textile production. Ambassador Shen stressed that the textile sector, including yarns, fabrics, garments, equipment and machinery, in all its dimensions, is the carrier and backbone of the joint growth strategy between Türkiye and Egypt.
