The Russian Volunteer Language Program has officially begun its activities in Cairo, marking the launch of an inspiring cultural and educational initiative. The program features the participation of Maria Yermoshina, a student at the Patrice Lumumba Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, and Tatyana Rodneva, a student at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

The Russian volunteer delegation has initiated a series of educational activities in Egypt as part of the large-scale international project “Volunteer Movement: For Russia!, implemented by Rossotrudnichestvo in cooperation with the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. The project is carried out in coordination with the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Cairo and will continue for an entire month, engaging Egyptian audiences interested in the Russian language and culture.

Designed as a 144-hour academic program, the initiative includes a wide range of master classes, interactive talks, travel-based lessons, and assessments.

Participants will explore Russian traditions, learn about renowned Russian figures who contributed to global science and culture, and acquire practical linguistic expressions through immersive, interactive activities.

At its heart, the program aims to break the language barrier and enhance the interest of Cairo’s youth in learning Russian, while deepening their understanding of Russia’s rich cultural heritage.
