The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China and the Chinese Military Attaché Office in Cairo hosted a grand reception this evening to mark the 98th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), with the participation of senior Egyptian officials, diplomats, and public figures.
The event was attended by Major General Mohamed Ali Metwally, representing the Minister of Defense and Military Production, and Major General Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel Halim, representing the Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces. Also present were former Prime Minister Dr. Essam Sharaf and former Foreign Minister Ambassador Mohamed El-Orabi.
The reception saw the participation of Ambassador Diab Al-Louh of Palestine, along with several ambassadors and military attachés from accredited embassies in Egypt — underscoring China’s commitment to strengthening its bilateral relations with Egypt and its international partners.
