The reactions are still positive about the media cooperation symposium, which was ably moderated by Dr. Anna Belikova, Advisor to the Strategic Vision Group Russia and the Islamic World, within the framework of the activities of the 14th Economic Forum that was held in Kazan recently, as one of its results was the signing of a number of cooperation protocols between news agencies and Russian channels and some News agencies in the countries of the Islamic world, which is an extension of the steps of cooperation between the two sides, which began in 2015 when the International Forum of Journalists in the Islamic World was organized, continuing until May 2023 with the signing of new protocols to develop cooperation in the field of information exchange between Russia and the countries of Asia and the Middle East.

The Kazan symposium witnessed a transparent discussion about the role and capabilities of media diplomacy in solving the problems of sustainable development and the prospects for media partnership between the countries of the modern world.

Muhammad Al-Yami, Director General of the Federation of Media Agencies of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, talked about the path towards expanding media cooperation with Russia and discussed the idea of introducing the Russian language on the organization’s updated information platform.

Wajdi Sindi, Director of the Information Development Department in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation countries, talked about the possibility of establishing humanitarian bridges between peoples, which contributes to rapprochement, and stressed that Russia plays an important role in this rapprochement.

Latifa Buabdlawi, Director General of the Islamic Center for the Development of Trade, said that our goals are to develop trade and investment between the countries of the Islamic world and partners such as Russia, and this cannot happen without the role of the press.

Farit Mukhamychin, Vice President of the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group, said that the key to a successful information partnership is not only the similarity of issues, but also the ability to separate common spiritual and moral values and protect them from the media space.

Younis Inaya, Director of International Relations and Strategic Development at the Federation of Media Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, spoke, stressing that our federation is a platform for facing challenges.

Timur Shafir, Secretary of the Federation of Journalists in Russia, also talked about the idea of establishing an international press club, to be based in Moscow and have activities in different countries.

Maya Manna, head of Russia Today channel, said that the channel provides training programs for Arab media professionals, and we have good relations in the Arab region, and suggested free training courses for foreign journalists.

Sherif Gad, head of the Egyptian Association for Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities, said that the media that rejected the phenomenon of Islamophobia must also reject the phenomenon of Russophobia, as the world cannot be imagined without Russian culture. For fans of Russia.

At the end of the symposium, a memorandum was signed on the development and strengthening of bilateral professional cooperation in the field of media between the Federation of Media Agencies in the OIC countries and Tatmedia Agency in the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia.
