Saudi authorities spare no efforts as lower pilgrimage hits its highest levels

On equal footing, preparations are underway to receive pilgrims during the holy month of Ramadan, as all governmental and private bodies of Saudi Arabia have completed their preparations and programs to provide the best services for visitors during the holy month of Ramadan. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince of Makkah Region, and His Royal Highness Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz spare no efforts to facilitate all difficulties before the two Holey Mosques.

The General Presidency of the Holy Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has recruited more than 12 thousand human resources from scientific and practical staff and to monitor and follow up the work during the holy month of Ramadan.

The President of the two Holy Mosques Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdul Aziz Al Sudais said that the Presidency has started preparations for the holy month of Ramadan through a plan previously prepared. The plan will be implemented through a number of axes, including the service axis, the steering and scientific axis, technical, media, cultural, social, regulatory, developmental, and labor.

The health services and hospitals were supported by medical staff at the highest level, with the provision of medical supplies. The number of cleaners was increased to a total of 11825 workers, equipped with more than 876 equipment.

The Saudi Red Crescent Organization’s plan included the processing of more than 85 emergency centers in the Makkah area, equipped with 170 ambulances, equipped with the latest medical equipment with a workforce of about 1,365 employees.

For its part, the National Water Company decided to increase water pumping to Mecca during the holy month of Ramadan, by 5% from last year, and the amount of water reserves for the current year 6.1 million liters, up 7% from last year.

As for transportation, 45 million passengers will be provided from the Holy Mosque during the five prayers, and a parking service will be provided for 2.5 million small vehicles for pilgrims and worshipers at the entrances to Makkah 8 million small vehicle trips.

For his part, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince of Makkah Region, stressed the importance of concerted efforts and collective action among the parties and the level of coordination among them to ensure the best services for pilgrims during the holy month of Ramadan. The two kings, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Highness the Crown Prince, may God preserve them, stress the efforts of all governmental and civil institutions to provide the best services to the pilgrims, residents and citizens.

Sheikh Al Sudais pointed out that the Presidency provides orientation and guidance service, which is concerned with educating pilgrims and visitors about their religion and guiding them to perform their rituals and prayers. The Holy Quran, pamphlets and religious booklets were printed and the Friday sermons in the Holy Mosque were translated into 10 languages. There are 19 offices to answer the questions and inquiries of the people of the House of Allah, and the availability of 96 accredited clerics. More than one million books in different languages ​​and sizes have been provided by the King Fahd Association for printing the Holy Quran.
