Meeting Prime Minister & Officials.. President El-sisi reviewes development of ‘Scientific Veterinary Center for Research and Training’ in the livestock and dairy production complex in Sadat City

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation El-Sayyed El-Qusseir, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Mohammed Ayman Ashour, Head of the National Service Projects Organization (NSPO) Major General Walid Abul Magd and Head of the Nasr Chemicals Company Major General Ehab Abdel Samie.

The Spokesman for the Presidency stated that the meeting reviewed the progress of the development of the Scientific Veterinary Center for Research and Training in the livestock and dairy production complex in Sadat City, as well as developments to enhance the local system for the production of nitrogenous fertilizers.

The President was briefed on the various components of the Scientific Veterinary Center, as well as efforts to maximize research and training in the center, in the field of livestock development as well as serving farmers and breeders. The President gave directives to make the optimal use of the center to enhance veterinary scientific research, especially by providing the necessary infrastructure for researchers in terms of modern scientific equipment, devices and laboratories. This is in addition to providing technical support to the cadres of the Veterinary Scientific Center, in accordance with international standards for performance and operation quality, and thus qualifying the center for obtaining international accreditation as a scientific diagnostic and research institution, in accordance with the standard specifications for the accreditation of scientific centers.

The President also underlined that the Center’s future vision shall be providing all technical and laboratory services within the delta governorates; serving as an applied research center for scientific research, particularly to improve breeds and maximise meat and dairy productivity; and qualifying recent graduates from corresponding colleges for the job market.

The Spokesman added that the President was also briefed on efforts to develop the fertilizer production system at the local level. The President gave directives to expand the establishment of nitrogenous fertilizer factories, which are among the most important inputs and requirements affecting agricultural production and food security, in alignment with the state’s strategic plans to improve the quality of products, also in parallel with increasing the area of ​​agricultural land reclaimed in Egypt.
