The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque is holding the “First House” exhibition in 10 languages during the holy month of Ramadan this year, in the third Saudi expansion of the Grand Mosque, with the aim of shedding light on the history of the construction of the Holy Kaaba throughout the ages, starting from the era of the Prophet Abraham, peace be upon him, until the present day.

The exhibition is a unique opportunity for visitors and pilgrims to explore the stages of the construction of the Holy Kaaba through visual displays, motion graphics, and historical artifacts, in addition to interactive screens that provide information in Arabic and English, which enriches the cognitive experience of those present.

The organization of this exhibition comes as part of the Presidency’s efforts to introduce Muslims to the history of the Grand Mosque and its holy landmarks, using interactive technologies that allow visitors to view precise details about the landmarks of the Kaaba and its history.

The exhibition includes several main themes, including the story of the construction of the Holy Kaaba, the changes that occurred to it over the ages, the tools used in its maintenance and washing, and the stages of making its Kiswa, in addition to shedding light on the landmarks of the Holy Kaaba.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque invited visitors to the Grand Mosque during the holy month to visit the exhibition and interact with its unique contents, which will enrich their experience.

This exhibition comes within the efforts of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques to enrich the experience of the guest of God and to introduce Muslims to the history of the Grand Mosque and the Holy Kaaba.
