Hayat Kimya, a Global TURKISH Brand, Continues Its Growth in Egypt

**Ambassador Şen:** *”Hayat Kimya brings high technology and quality to Egypt with total investments reaching \$632 million.”*

The new Hayat Kimya factory was inaugurated in Ain Sokhna in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and Vice Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Transport and Industry, Kamel El-Wazir, along with senior Egyptian officials, top company representatives, and Turkish Ambassador to Cairo, **Salih Mutlu Şen**.

Hayat Kimya, which has been operating in the Egyptian market since 2012, has now increased its total investment in the country to **\$632 million**, with factories located in **Ain Sokhna** and **6th of October City**.

During the press conference following the inauguration, Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen expressed his appreciation for the high-level attendance, stating that it was a great honor to have Prime Minister Madbouly and Vice Prime Minister Kamel El-Wazir present at the event.

In his opening remarks, **Şenol Keseroğlu**, General Manager of Hayat Kimya Egypt, noted that the company invested \$53 million in 2024 and has continued with another \$53 million in 2025, bringing the total to \$632 million. He stated that Hayat Kimya is the **largest player in its field in the local market**, focused heavily on exports. The company employs nearly **3,500 Egyptians** across its 480,000 square meters of facilities in Ain Sokhna and 6th of October, producing **baby diapers, wet wipes, flexible packaging, and feminine care products**.

Ambassador Şen emphasized the **strategic nature of Turkish companies’ presence in Egypt**, expressing his confidence that these economic activities would continue to expand, benefiting both countries and consumers. He highlighted Egypt’s pivotal role in Turkey’s progressive and development-oriented foreign strategy.

In this context, the ambassador praised the **mutually beneficial expansion** of global Turkish companies like Hayat Kimya in both Egypt’s growing domestic market and the wider regional market, citing the company’s use of advanced technology, large-scale production, and high-quality standards. He also underlined the **strategic advantages** of Ain Sokhna Port, including its ongoing expansion and **direct access to Gulf and East African markets**.

Additional remarks were made during the press conference by **Vedat Yıldırım**, Vice President of Global Sales at Hayat Kimya, and **Çalışkan Kent**, Global Communications and Sustainability Director.

Responding to questions from reporters, Ambassador Şen highlighted the **strong political, legal, and practical support** provided by Egypt’s leadership.

When asked about the volume of new Turkish investments expected in Egypt this year, he revealed that an additional **\$500 million** in new investments is anticipated in 2025, underscoring that **Turkish investments in Egypt are continuously expanding**.
