On the special directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), in collaboration with Al-Khidmat Foundation, has dispatched the second shipment of humanitarian aid under its latest relief initiative for the people of Gaza through Egypt.

A special chartered aircraft carrying 100 tonnes of vital relief supplies landed today at El-Arish International Airport, Egypt.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Egypt, H.E. Aamir Shouket, received the consignment and formally handed it over to the Egyptian Red Crescent Society for onward delivery to Palestinians inside Gaza. The Deputy Governor of North Sinai Governorate also attended the ceremony.

Ambassador Shouket expressed deep gratitude to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Government of Egypt, as well as the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, for their consistent facilitation in ensuring the smooth passage of aid from Pakistan to Gaza.

The Deputy Governor of North Sinai Governorate, in turn, praised the substantial and sustained humanitarian support provided by Pakistan, highlighting its significance for the people of Gaza.

With this delivery, Pakistan has dispatched 21 consignments amounting to a total of 2,027 tonnes of humanitarian assistance to Gaza so far.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment, Ambassador Shouket underscored that the Government and people of Pakistan will continue to stand firmly with their Palestinian brethren, noting that further consignments are already on their way in coordination with the Egyptian authorities to reach those in need inside Gaza in the coming days.
