The Embassy of India in Cairo, in collaboration with the Indian Silk Export Promotion Council (ISEPC) under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, is organizing a two-day Silk Exhibition and Buyer-Seller Meet (BSM) on August 24–25, 2026, in Cairo. This initiative aims to strengthen commercial interaction between Indian silk and handloom stakeholders and Egyptian buyers and industry professionals, while creating opportunities to expand bilateral trade in silk and silk products.
Over two days, the exhibition and BSM will offer Egyptian importers, wholesalers, retailers, procurement specialists, designers, design institutes, and other industry stakeholders a firsthand look at the exquisite craftsmanship, diversity, quality, and contemporary design capabilities of the Indian silk and textile sector.
Participating Indian exhibitors will showcase a wide array of products, including handcrafted silk fabrics and textiles, silk carpets, silk scarves and shawls, and various other silk-related products. The event will facilitate direct networking between Indian exporters and Egyptian enterprises, helping streamline business inquiries, forge partnerships, and finalize commercial deals.
The Buyer-Seller Meet is expected to serve as a vital platform for Egyptian buyers to connect directly with Indian manufacturers and exporters, learn about their product offerings and capabilities, and explore sourcing opportunities and long-term business collaborations.
Event Details:
  • Dates: August 24–25, 2026
  • Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
