During an exclusive statement delivered to the joint media delegation, Eng. Mohamed Zakaria, General Manager of BAMC, emphasized the strategic importance of this partnership. He highlighted that collaborating with Chinese industry leaders represents a qualitative leap forward in localizing the automotive industry in Egypt and transferring advanced manufacturing technologies to the domestic market.
It is worth noting that the global brand Geely officially inaugurated large-scale local manufacturing in Egypt in January 2025, through a fruitful strategic partnership with Auto Mobility. The state-of-the-art facility in 6th of October City is equipped with a highly advanced mixed production line for both sedans and SUVs. The plant currently manufactures localized models that enjoy immense popularity in the Egyptian market, including the Geely Coolray and Geely Emgrand, achieving a local component ratio reaching 45% as part of an ambitious national localization plan. Furthermore, the facility’s design capacity is structured to scale up seamlessly to nearly 30,000 units annually, aiming to fulfill local market demands while preparing for regional export opportunities.

A Visit to the Geely Galaxy Showroom: Located in Nasr City, Greater Cairo, where the media delegation continued its tour to examine the newest vehicle line-ups on display. The delegation held further press interviews to gather key insights into technical innovations and the company’s future vision for expanding its footprint across Egyptian and regional markets.
Regarding workforce training, Eng. Osman, Chairman of the Factory Board, stated that Egyptian technical staff and workers undergo rigorous training locally or in China to meet operational demands in accordance with international standards. Addressing the local components, Eng. Osman praised the exceptional quality of Egyptian manufacturing, highlighting both raw material excellence and high-precision execution on the assembly lines.
