Discover Your Pathway to Working in Europe
Are you considering working in Germany or another European country but unsure where to begin? What qualifications are required, and how can you improve your chances of finding employment abroad? Where can you access reliable information on legal migration pathways, qualification recognition, language requirements and work visa procedures?
These are among the key questions addressed by the Labour Mobility Forum 2026, taking place in Cairo from October 26 to 28 under the banner Gateway to Europe.
The forum brings together Egyptian and European government institutions, employers, education and training providers, and organisations supporting international labour mobility. This year’s edition places particular emphasis on the role of German employers and the private sector, while expanding cooperation with other European Union member states.

Building Partnerships for Sustainable Labour Mobility
Beyond the public exhibition, the forum will feature high-level policy discussions and private-sector dialogues aimed at strengthening institutional cooperation.
This year’s programme places particular emphasis on developing sustainable partnerships that respond to labour market needs in both Egypt and Europe. By bringing together government institutions, employers and training organisations, the forum seeks to strengthen cooperation and improve access to reliable information for people considering employment opportunities abroad.
Organisers and Institutional Partners
The forum is organised by the Egyptian-German Centre for Jobs, Migration and Reintegration (EGC), a partnership between Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The centre receives joint funding from the German government and the European Union.
