The Global Transport Connectivity Forum is currently underway in Istanbul, bringing together ministers, policymakers, and international stakeholders to discuss the future of global logistics, infrastructure, and regional integration.
The forum is being hosted by Türkiye’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdülkadir Uraloğlu, and serves as a platform to enhance cooperation on sustainable transport systems, multimodal connectivity, and digital infrastructure.
Among the distinguished attendees is Egypt’s Minister of Transport and Industry, General Kamel Al-Wazir, who is participating in the forum at the official invitation of Minister Uraloğlu. His presence highlights the deepening transport and economic ties between Egypt and Türkiye, as both countries position themselves as key transit hubs linking Europe, Asia, and Africa.
The forum was officially inaugurated by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who delivered an opening address emphasizing the strategic importance of strengthening global supply chains, advancing green transport solutions, and building inclusive partnerships.
Scheduled to conclude on June 29, the event features panel discussions, bilateral meetings, and high-level dialogues aimed at fostering collaboration across regions and addressing the evolving challenges of global mobility and connectivity.
