The LPTA (Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority) launched the “Tarjem (translate)” initiative within the activities of the Riyadh International Book Fair 2022, which comes within the initiatives of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority under the umbrella of the Ministry of Culture, to promote cultural exchange between the Arabic language and its counterparts worldwide.
The initiative aims to support the cultural movement in the Kingdom, highlight the importance of translation in building bridges of knowledge between the world, and serve researchers and scholars in the Arabic language by providing translated materials of high value and of scientific and literary importance, as well as supporting international cultural exchange efforts, and enriching Arabic content with materials translated from The languages of the world have both scientific and literary values, in addition to publishing Arabic literature to the world in high quality, with the service it includes for the Arabic language through translation from and to it.
The initiative is expected to contribute to raising awareness, promoting the exchange of cultures and communication among the peoples of the world, as well as sharing knowledge to all countries of the world, which is enhanced by attracting and pushing talented Saudis and Arabs to be part of this initiative.
