The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance for International Affairs Dr. Riyad Bin Mohammed participaed in the annual meetings of the African Development Bank held its work in the Republic of Ghana, under the theme “Achieving flexibility in the face of climate change and the transformation of equitable energy for Africa”, with the participation of officials from the Development Fund, the Saudi.

Dr. Mohammed – in his speech during Alajtmaat- the importance of intensifying the Bank’s efforts to support the economic diversification of the countries of the African continent, and to promote investment in the human element, especially for youth and women, and to maximize the use of natural resources, and the development of technical applications and digital infrastructure to contribute to the opening of new markets, saying that Africa has the potential to make it a major victory in the global value of food security chain, hello focus Bank to support investments in high-quality infrastructure projects, and to adapt to climate policies that support sustainable growth and take advantage of the concept of circular economy of carbon, which was launched by the Kingdom during its presidency of the Group XX.

He stressed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance on the importance of supporting the Bank’s common framework initiative to address the debt, which was launched during the presidency of the Kingdom of the Group of Twenty, pointing out that Saudi Arabia is ready to Nzer- in terms Alambdo- to take advantage of the special drawing rights to support the African Development Bank.

On the sidelines of the meetings, Dr. Riyad Bin Mohammed met with, President His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo President of the Republic of Ghana, where he congratulated him on the success of Ghana’s annual hosting meetings of the African Development Bank, and the emphasis on bilateral relations between the two countries.

He also held a meeting with the President of the African Development Bank Group Dr. Akinwumi Adesina; To discuss ways of strengthening cooperation between the Kingdom and the World Bank, in addition to holding several side meetings with a group of Governors of the African Development Bank, during which they discussed aspects of cooperation and issues of common interest.
