With participation of 100 companies, the Egyptian-Omani Business Forum continues its activities in Cairo

 The Egyptian-Omani Business Forum continues its activities with the participation of hundreds of companies in order to promote areas of economic cooperation and joint investments between Oman and Egypt.

 Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Rahbi, the Sultanate’s ambassador to Egypt and its permanent representative to the Arab League, affirmed that the relations between the Sultanate and Egypt extend throughout history and continue with stability and trust and enjoy generous patronage from Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, noting that this is the visit of the Omani economic delegation to Egypt. It comes as an embodiment of the directives that focus on aspects of the economy in general, discovering investment opportunities between the two countries, and promoting and encouraging exports by strengthening the investment partnership between the two countries, which leads to the growth of trade exchange.

 Al-Rahbi stressed that the law in the Sultanate of Oman allows the foreign investor to practice his work without a mediator or partner, in addition to facilitating the residence from five to ten years, subject to renewal, in addition to many other privileges that made the Sultanate of Oman one of the best investment destinations in the Middle East due to the opportunities it provides. In many industrial sectors, logistics, tourism, fisheries, manufacturing, mining and others.

 Ambassador Al-Rahbi called on Omani businessmen and their Egyptian counterparts to exchange visits and enhance their presence in the Omani and Egyptian markets, benefiting from what the Sultanate of Oman and Egypt offers, and benefiting from the economic projects implemented by the governments of the two countries.

 The forum witnessed the holding of bilateral meetings for 7 Egyptian companies affiliated with the Export Council for Chemical Industries and Fertilizers with Omani companies and representatives of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the fields of plastics, paints, inks and chemical industries. Its nature is to develop trade exchange between the two countries.

 It is noteworthy that the exports of the chemical industries sector to the Sultanate of Oman in 2021 amounted to about 32 million dollars, and during the first four months of 2022 they amounted to about 11 million dollars, with a growth rate of 7% over the same period in 2021, and that the most important exports of the sector to the Sultanate of Oman are diaper products, and plastic products Plastics, all kinds of paints, inks, detergents, fertilizers, and glass products.

 Discussing investment opportunities between Omani and Egyptian businessmen

 In a related context, a number of Omani businessmen met with their Egyptian counterparts in the second real estate conference, which is an opportunity to get acquainted and exchange experiences in real estate investment. Ambassador Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Rahbi said: Participation in the real estate conference is an embodiment of a new and different role for press institutions in creating an umbrella of dialogue between investors and businessmen, and the concerned executive and legislative bodies to discuss in a team spirit the obstacles and obstacles facing the production sectors and to find mechanisms to treat and deal with them with the aim of promoting out.

 Al-Rahbi stressed that the political relations between the Sultanate of Oman and Egypt are living their best era, and enjoy continuous attention and follow-up from Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. And the vision of Egypt 2030.

 A delegation of business owners from the Amman Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in North Al Batinah Governorate held an expanded meeting with their Egyptian counterparts to discuss trade and investment opportunities available between the two countries in the contracting, construction and fertilizer sectors, in addition to modern technologies and renewable energy. The Sohar Port, the Free Zone and the General Authority for Industrial Estates, Mada’in, also reviewed for Egyptian businessmen the investment opportunities in the Sultanate of Oman and the services it provides.

 Abdullah bin Ali Al Shafei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in the North Al Batinah Governorate, said: This meeting is of great importance for Omani and Egyptian business owners to work together, exchange experiences in the business sector and discuss investment opportunities in both countries and ways of joint action that enhance this regard. He pointed out that there are promising opportunities for investment in many sectors between the two countries.
