Minister of Hajj & Umrah Affairs: Lifting all restrictions on Egyptian who perform low pilgrim, and the validity of visa extended to 90 days with one trip

In the presence of the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Osama bin Ahmed Naqli, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah Affairs, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, that all restrictions on Egyptian pilgrims have been lifted, in addition to extending the validity of the visa to 90 days with a single trip.. This came through a press conference at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Cairo today.

Minister Al-Rabiah praised the hospitality accorded to the Egyptians, government and people, as a reflection of the historical relations between the two countries under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his crown prince.

The minister referred to the automation of the procedures for obtaining an Umrah visa through the “Nesuk” program around the clock and all matters related to transportation, residence, and so on.

In terms of modernizing the architecture of the Two Holy Mosques and the holy sites, the minister said the cost amounted to about 200 billion Saudi riyals, and the rest comes in order to accommodate the expected increases in the number of pilgrims and provide the best facilities and the qualitative leap witnessed by the Hajj and Umrah system in partnership with all government agencies and service providers from the private sector in the two countries. Through digital transformation, and finding a package of various options and solutions to enable the largest number of Muslims to perform Umrah in the easiest ways and at the lowest costs.

Minister Al-Rabiah also praised his meetings with the Ministers of Interior and Endowments, the Grand Mufti of Egypt and the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, which dealt with strengthening bilateral relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
